The demo shown is a narrative preview of how the live system will operate.
The Nationwide Missing Person’s Kiosk System
Our interactive kiosks are designed to be simple, accessible, and effective. Users can navigate in any direction they choose, search NamUs listings, translate information into multiple languages, and access personalized search options.
Once the LIVE system is fully activated, every missing and unidentified person will be included in the rotation, ensuring continuous visibility for all cases — not just a select few.
Many victims are seen
Yet remain unnoticed
We need to raise $50,000 for the Kiosk: ‘Live’: software.
All contributions toward this initiative are restricted to this purpose unless otherwise designated by the donor.
Funding Attempts and Challenges
On April 13, 2023, our District Congressman submitted a request to the Appropriations Committee to fund the completion of the LIVE software. The request was denied with the explanation: “There is no funding. Try again next year.” No further discussion was permitted.
This response reflects a long‑standing challenge: our work does not fit neatly into traditional funding categories, despite its direct impact on public safety, community awareness, and the identification of missing and unidentified persons.
Background and Need
The LIVE software is essential to ensuring that every missing and unidentified person is included in the kiosk rotation. This system will allow for real‑time updates, multi‑language accessibility, personalized NamUs‑based searches, and a user‑friendly interface designed for public spaces. Once completed, the system will significantly expand national visibility for cases that often receive little or no public attention.
Commitment to the Mission
Although federal funding was denied, our commitment remains unwavering. We continue to pursue grants, partnerships, and private contributions to complete this critical system. For us, “no” is not an option when it comes to bringing missing loved ones home and restoring names to those known only by a case number.
Completion of the LIVE software will allow the kiosk system to operate at full capacity, ensuring continuous, equitable visibility for every case — regardless of geography, media attention, or circumstance.
